Accept the trade-off immediately
You cannot learn three years of maths in 48 hours, and trying to will waste the little time you have. Your only goal now is maximum marks per hour of effort — which means deliberately skipping some topics completely.
Skip these (low return in 48 hours)
Calculus optimisation problems — these need real conceptual understanding to build from scratch under time pressure and rarely respond to last-minute cramming.
Anything requiring a multi-page proof you have never seen before — geometry riders you have not practised are a bad use of remaining hours.
Secure these first (highest marks per hour)
Formula-recall marks: the quadratic formula, compound interest, sine/cosine/area rules, arithmetic and geometric sequence formulas. These are free marks the instant you substitute correctly — memorise every one.
Trig identity proofs and reduction formulas: these follow a small, fixed set of patterns. Learn the pattern, not the specific proof, and you can reproduce dozens of variations.
Financial maths (compound interest, annuities): highly formulaic, and almost always worth 15-20 marks. Drill 3-4 past-paper examples and you can very likely replicate the method.
The 48-hour schedule
Hour 0-4 (today): Formula sheet, memorised cold. Not "reviewed" — actually able to write every formula from memory with the book closed.
Hour 4-10: One past paper, Blank Page Method (see the guide), focused only on finance, sequences, and trig identities. Skip anything else entirely.
Hour 10-16 (sleep, then continue tomorrow): A second past paper, same topics, timed. Compare to yesterday — you should already be faster.
Final hours before the exam: Re-read your formula sheet once more, and stop. Do not attempt new topics this close to the exam — see "The Night Before the Exam" guide.
